Genibo-M is a robot that teaches

GENIBO M – quadruped (4-legged) walking intelligent robot designed for educational needs.

The robot is supported by MSRDS (Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio) platform that enables anyone to create robot applications using a visual programming environment, stimulate robots applications in 3D physics-based virtual environments, interact with robots using Windows or Web-based interfaces, write programs to handle asynchronous input from multiple robotics sensors and output to motors and actuators, build high-level functions using reusable code modules, supports remote control, develop applications using different styles of programming languages.

Genibo M is able to perform 500 different movements, 291 sounds and 37 emoticons. It can be controlled via Bluetooth. It has voice and image recognition system. It contains 15 D.O.F. joints, 11 touch-sensors, peaker, 1.3 pixel camera, optical position sensor (PSD), 2 tilt sensors (built-in Genibo’s feet).

The robot uses lithium polymer battery that has a long run and light weight.
You can use robots as  a programmable hardware and build different robotics programs, make robot see, hear, move and perform different tasks.
